YOUR COMPUTER IS SO SUPER COOLIOS (I got a new monitor and he was commenting on it). In heaven, all the interesting people are missing. The most interesting information comes from children, for they tell all they know and then stop. Thinking is more interesting than knowing, but less interesting than looking. Human nature is so well disposed towards those who are in interesting situations, that a young person, who either marries or dies, is sure of being kindly spoken of. Vegetables are interesting but lack a sense of purpose when unaccompanied by a good cut of meat. Japan’s very interesting. Some people think it copies things. I don’t think that anymore. I think what they do is reinvent things. They will get something that’s already been invented and study it until they thoroughly understand it. In some cases, they understand it better than the original inventor. It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog. It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed. The grass is greener on this side. You cannot be so afraid of failure that you don’t attempt to succeed. Your time is limited, so don’t wast it living someone else’s life. The important thing is never to stop questioning. Each time a person stands for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he or she sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. And crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. Few are willing to embrace the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change.

Friends come and go
As the currents ebb and flow
The swells and ripples that they make
Leave mixed emotions in their wake
For some friends drift with changing tide
Come on strong and then subside
Only to be cast Upon the shore
Disappear and be seen no more
But Some friendships are strong enough to stand
the changing tides and shifting sand
What is strong enough to set these friendships apart
Affinity of mind and heart
Love much more than mere token
thoughts understood
Yet unspoken
A common bond, a mutual goal
An understanding heart and soul
It’s these little things that mean so much
Are strokes of friendship’s velvet touch
